‘Fighting Genghis’ began as a personal diary – an outlet for Rosie – as she fought the disease she renamed Genghis. Her battle, with all its ups and downs, was documented in this blog which was published a few months after her initial diagnosis.
As Genghis attacked her body Rosie wrote with her trademark frankness, honesty and humour about the physical and emotional impact the disease was having. Within weeks her blog went viral providing support to tens of thousands of people who had been touched by cancer, or by Rosie’s story. It was covered in the national press in the UK and was nominated for awards.
