Christmas Drinks
Eleanor and her twin sister organised a Christmas drinks party for lots of friends. It was a fantastic start to the festive season and the twins were thrilled to discover that they have raised over £900 for Secondary1st.
Festive Coffee Morning
Hannah organised a coffee morning to celebrate the festive season and sold lots and lots of the fantastic snowmen which her mother-in-law had made and donated for Secondary1st. The morning raised about £650. Everyone had a great time and the snowmen each found a new home where they could be loved and admired.
Table Top Sale
Ellen was so encouraged by the success of the coffee morning she and her mum had arranged in August that she organised a table top sale of seasonal goodies. The cakes, buns and coffee with a great raffle and raised another £900 for Secondary1st.
Procurement Lawyers’ Association Annual Dinner and Prize Giving
The Inaugural Annual Dinner of the Procurement Lawyers’ association was held in the ballroom of the Lansdowne Club. The Guest of Honour was the Lord Justice Coulson, accompanied by Sue Arrowsmith Q.C., Achilles Professor of Public Procurement Law and Policy at the University of Nottingham, and Peter Bennett, Senior Policy Adviser at the Cabinet Office. …

Coffee Morning
Ruth arranged a coffee morning for lots of friends to raise money for Secondary1st. It was a great break from the morning routine and everyone had a lovely time together.

JH Mechanical Services of Stockton-on-Tees organised a Black Tie Dinner in aid of Secondary1st. Charity Disco
Vikki organised a disco at the Harold Hill Community Centre in Essex to raise funds. The event was sold out, the hall was full and everyone had a great time. Vikki did a fantastic job and raised more than £1000 for Secondary1st.
2019 Grants
On 28th October Secondary1st presented two cheques to help fund research projects at the Beatson Institute at the University of Glasgow and the Institute of Cancer Therapeutics at the University of Bradford. Another Marathon Medal
The wonderful Jane ran the Amsterdam Marathon six months after her daughter Heather finished the London Marathon. The two fantastic ladies completed the two Marathons to raise money for Secondary1st.
Afan College
A display of information at Afan College in Port Talbot, one of the NPTC group of colleges in Wales, is raising awareness of secondary breast cancer among staff and students.
They did eat cake!
JH Mechanical Services Limited, who have adopted Secondary1st as their Charity of the Year, ate cakes for a day to mark Breast Cancer Awareness and raise funds for the Charity. They found that cakes for breakfast and lunch are a great way to mark a special day.
